Tomorrow is Record Store Day! The day we celebrate our local and independent record shops. There is also a huge number of special and limited edition releases coming out by acts like Blur, The Rolling Stones, Gorillaz, Sonic Youth, Joy Division, Bruce Springsteen, LCD Soundsystem and more. For a full list see HERE. Crash Records have been tweeting as they receive their stock and it looks and sounds amazing! Check out this Queens of The Stone Age picture disk HERE!
For Dead Young we are celebrating the release of the Australian Import version of 'Come Sing These Crippled Tunes' by The Cubical which looks like this:
As the sticker says (which you probably can't read due to my stupid photo, sorry) this version of The Cubical's debut LP is limited to just 100 copies in the EU. It features new artwork, a lovely booklet with lyrics and photos from Mr Jason Reposar, and some exclusive bonus tracks:
Scuttler's Crimes (The Ballad Of William Willan)
Produced by Dave Sardy at Sunset Sound Studios, Hollywood.
Early Morning Creep
Produced by Dave Sardy at Sunset Sound Studios, Hollywood.
Meet You 'Neath The River
& West End Road.
To get hold of one of these super-limited CDs head down to your local record shop nice and early tomorrow.
... and to contribute to the celebration of our local record shops, and the records they sell that you can't find anywhere else, I've put together a little slideshow of some of some records. Some are mine, some are friends', all are great. Go out and buy some wax tomorrow kids!
