Video Blog #August

Black Mountain - Old Fangs
This Canadian 5-piece have been rockin since 1996, but I've only just clocked onto them this week. They're touring the UK next month to support the release of their latest album 'Wilderness Heart' from which 'Old Fangs' is the first single. You can download it for free with 5 other great tracks from Jagjaguwar HERE.

Giobia - Old Jim
A fantastic Garage/Psych band from Milan who have painstakingly recorded their latest album 'Hard Stories' entirely on vintage analogue equipment. Hopefully they will be visiting the UK in early December, fingers crossed!

The Keys - From Tense To Loose To Slack
Brilliant & bizarre video from a great Welsh band we've been trying to bring to Oporto for some time. We can now confirm The Keys will play a free show for us in Leeds on Tuesday 19th October. Don't miss it!

Philadelphia Grand Jury - Going To The Casino
How awesome is this song!? The Philly Jays hail from Australia, not the land of the cheese-steak sandwich, if you wanted to know. More importantly you can buy this on 7" from Monday 13th September, and/or download a tasty EP (including this thumping garage tune) they're giving away HERE. Currently based in London they're gigging pretty solidly through August til early October ending the tour at Leeds' Cockpit on Thursday 7th October.

Tame Impala - Solitude Is Bliss
Another great Aussie band here, but no (legal) free download I can find this time unfortunately. Their debut album 'Innerspeaker' is worth every penny though. Channeling the spirit of Sgt. Pepper to create a modern day slacker psych-rock classic, its a great sound for the summer - whats left of it... Catch them at Reading/Leeds festivals.
